Oliver Sacks is the world-renowned neurologist and author, dubbed “the poet laureate of medicine” by The New York Times. His best-selling books include Awakenings, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Musicophilia: Takes of Music and the Brain and The Mind’s Eye. He is a professor of neurology and psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and has been appointed as Columbia University Artist, a new designation at the university. Jonathan Weiner’s award-winning science books include the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Beak of the Finch; Time, Love, Memory; His Brother’s Keeper;and Long for This World: The Strange Science of Immortality. He is the Maxwell M. Geffen Professor of Medical and Scientific Journalism at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
