Join us for a tribute to Saul Bellow at 100 with Martin Amis, Janis Bellow, Jeffrey Eugenides, Nicole Krauss, Zachary Leader and Ian McEwan.

From 1956 to 2002, Saul Bellow made regular appearances at 92Y. To celebrate his centenary, friends and fellow writers gather to read from his work. This spring also brings the publication of There is Simply Too Much to Think About, Bellow’s collected nonfiction; and Zachary Leader’s new biography, The Life of Saul Bellow: To Fame and Fortune, 1915-1964. “The backbone of 20th-century American literature has been provided by two novelists—William Faulkner and Saul Bellow,” wrote Philip Roth. “Together they are the Melville, Hawthorne and Twain of the 20th century.”
